Saathi is delighted to announce that we’ve been the recipient of some fantastic start-up competition prizes in the past few months!
In June we were one of five recipients of the MIT D-Lab Scale-Ups Fellowships . This competition is run by MIT’s successful D-Lab program for international development, and rewards social enterprise or international development startups who want to move past a prototyping stage into a scaled-up, sustainable business.
We are honoured to recieve this fellowsh among some incredibly impressive start-ups, such as Appropriate Energy Saving Technologies, who make fuel-efficient charcoal briquettes, Elliot Alva, who has developed a multi-purpose crop thresher , Greenpath Food, who support supply chain for farming smallholders in Ethiopia and PoupaCerto, a Brazilian personal finance app.
We were also proud to be one of the final round winners of Viridian’s Big B-Plan competition! Here’s our CEO Kristin Kagetsu picking up our prize:

Last but not least, wer’re pleased to announce that Kristin, has been chosen as one of Asia Society’s Young Leaders, a network of innovative leaders in business, NGO and public sectors across the Asia Pacific region.
